Eight years ago, I started The Egg Whisperer Show because fertility was being left out of the health conversation and patients were going through infertility feeling totally unsupported.
I’m Dr. Aimee, a fertility doctor who’s been helping people grow their families for 20+ years. I created this show, my classes, and this community to help you be proactive (not reactive) about your fertility treatment.
One of the things I’m most excited about? The intersection of longevity science and reproductive health.
We’re exploring how medications like rapamycin (yes, the one studied for anti-aging) might help slow down ovarian aging.
Here’s the simple version:
Inside your cells is a switch called mTOR. When it’s overactive, your eggs may age faster. Rapamycin helps calm that down, potentially keeping your eggs healthier, longer.
But while the science is moving fast, clinical care is moving slow. We have game-changing research on the microbiome, stem cells, and AI for embryo selection, but it’s not reaching patients fast enough.
Outdated beliefs (like “ovarian aging is inevitable”) and underfunded women’s health care are holding us back.
We also need better support for people with PCOS, endo, LGBTQ+ families, single parents by choice, and women in perimenopause.
The future of fertility can look like:
Egg freezing as standard care
Personalized ovarian health reports
Fertility checks as part of your wellness routine—not a last resort
Let’s lead this new era of fertility care, together.
